As the year draws to a close and we reflect on another busy, successful year we’ve discovered that, since 2001, futurespace has completed workplace fitout to the value of just under a $billion! That equates to over 750,000m2 of diverse workplaces for leading local and global organisations.
This is a significant milestone and some of the key reasons for this achievement include:
We’ve undertaken projects throughout Australia in locations ranging from the highest floors in prime CBD towers in all capital cities to remote locations including mining camps in the remote Pilbara region of Western Australia. Outside Australia we have completed projects across the region including Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Mumbai and Seoul. Recently we completed a workplace project in Pittsburg in the USA.
Our workplace projects have grown from an early specialisation in banking and financial services to now cover all sectors of the market including legal, resources, IT and technology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, property services, insurance, education, advertising, agency and health care.
futurespace is very proud of the fact that in 2014 over 70% of our work has come through repeat relationships – either direct clients, project managers or contractors. This is a testament to our client centric business model and the sheer brilliance of our design and architectural team.
Evolution of “work”
futurespace was formed as a business with a strong focus on the future of the built environment (the name “futurespace” had its genesis in our interest in the future workplace). For nearly 14 years our projects have explored the boundaries of what is possible with workplace design when people, space and technology synergise in a way that supports and enables business.
The future – what’s next?
As we head into 2015 we are excited about what the New Year holds. Not only are we commencing some exciting workplace projects – our workplace strategy, premium childcare, multi unit residential and building refurbishment sectors are growing fast with a number of significant opportunities underway. We look forward to sharing more news about these with you in 2015.
